¡Mirando hacia atrás en la exposición de la semana pasada! Exposición sobre mujeres de Fuerteventura, pasadas y presentes, que tuvieron que romper muros invisibles en la isla. Material visual: datos del instituto ISTAC, obras de arte de la artista Veronica MG. Con contribuciones en video de las artistas Veronica Silva, Daura Flores y Lucía Sanchéz. La exposición fue en la Casa de los Coroneles, centro cultural de La Oliva, Fuerteventura. Un emplazamiento especial: fue el alojamiento de los antiguos Coroneles que ostentaron todo el poder en Fuerteventura entre los siglos XVI y XIX.!

Looking back at last week’s exhibition! Exhibition about women from Fuerteventura, past and present, who had to break through invisible walls on the island. Visual material: data from the ISTAC institute, artworks by artist Veronica MG. With video contributions by artists Veronica Silva, Daura Flores y Lucía Sanchéz. Exhibition was at the Casa de los Coroneles, cultural center in La Oliva, Fuerteventura. A special location: it was the -literally- housing of the former Colonels who held all powerful positions in Fuerteventura from the 16th to the 19th century.

Terugblik op de tentoonstelling van vorige week! Tentoonstelling over vrouwen van Fuerteventura, van vroeger en van nu, die onzichtbare muren hebben moeten doorbreken op het eiland. Beeldmateriaal: data van het ISTAC instituut, kunstwerken van kunstenares Veronica MG. Met videobijdragen van kunstenaressen Veronica Silva, Daura Flores y Lucía Sanchéz. Tentoonstelling was in het Casa de los Coroneles, cultuur centrum in La Oliva, Fuerteventura. Een bijzondere locatie: het was de -letterlijke- behuizing van de vroegere Kolonels die alle machtige posities in Fuerteventura bezaten van de 16e tot en met de 19e eeuw.
Dit project is mogelijk dankzij de hulp en samenwerking van het Canarische Instituut voor Culturele Ontwikkeling en de regering van de Canarische Eilanden.
